The 42nd Chantry Chinook Classic Salmon Derby gets underway today.
Anglers from across Ontario are hitting the waters of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay, with over $30,000 in prizes and cash up for grabs during the 10-day fishing derby.
The Chantry Chinook Classic runs July 24 until August 2.
Weigh stations at the Port Elgin Harbour, Kincardine Harbour, Lion’s Head Harbour and in Wiarton are open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. throughout the event. On the final day, August 2, weigh stations close at 1 p.m.
