Barrie Police officers responded to a report of a theft yesterday after a Facebook Marketplace deal involving a high-value collectible sports trading card, and a 16 year old has been charged with theft over 5-thousand dollars.
The accused met up with someone selling the card – and ended up just taking it from the seller and running away.
Video surveillance, and subsequent investigating enabled police to ID the kid and he was arrested at his home.
The card was recovered.
