The provincial government is announcing funding for upgrades and repairs at hospitals in the region.
In the announcement, Brightshores Health System will be receiving just under $4 million, while South Bruce Grey Health Centre will receive $731,779.
Meanwhile, Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MPP Paul Vickers is also announcing a nearly $2 million investment in upgrades and repairs at Hanover & District Hospital.
Through the Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund, the province is giving a total of $266 million to 126 hospitals across Ontario.
Vickers said in a media release, “Investing in our hospitals means investing the health and well-being of our communities.”
He added that he was proud that the Ontario government was supporting upgrades that will help deliver quality care.
Over the next 10 years, Ontario is investing approximately $64 billion in major health infrastructure.
The spending pledge will fund 50 major hospital projects across the province, which will deliver approximately 3,000 new hospital beds to enhance access to quality care and build a people-first health-care system.
