The Kemble Culvert Replacement Project is underway in Kemble.
The project involves removing and replacing the main roadway culvert to improve drainage, ensure long-term infrastructure reliability and enhance public safety.
The new culvert is designed to meet modern standards, improving current drainage in Kemble and accommodating higher water flows caused by climate change to help reduce flood risks.
The intersection of Kemble Rock Road and Concession 20 is closed to through traffic as of yesterday (July 9) and will remain closed until early September 2026. Local access will be maintained for residents and emergency services, and detour signage will be in place.
Residents can expect temporary traffic disruptions, reduced speed limits, lane restrictions, increased construction vehicle activity and periodic noise.
