The Shute Optometry U19 Girls Field Lacrosse Team put together another impressive weekend, earning a pair of victories in Kawartha.
Game 1: North Stars 17 – Barrie Bombers 1
The North Stars opened the weekend against Barrie with a sluggish first quarter, but quickly settled into their game in the second and never looked back. An explosive offensive performance saw the Stars pull away, finishing with a dominant 17-1 victory.
Game 2: North Stars 12 – Burlington 10
Facing a much tougher opponent, Burlington. The North Stars once again found themselves off to a slow start, trailing 4-1 after the opening quarter. Just as they had earlier in the day, the Stars responded with composure and determination, taking control of the game over the final three quarters to secure a hard-fought 12-10 victory.
