A big donation to the Wingham & District Hospital came from former residents of the area.
An $85,170 thousand grant was announced from the Leland and Thora Vance Fund which is held at the Waterloo Region Community Foundation.
Lee and Thora Vance were long-time Wingham residents and local business owners with a deep-rooted commitment to community.
The donation will support the purchase of a new ultrasound machine for Wingham & District Hospital.
The Wingham & District Hospital says an ultrasound machine will help ensure patients have access to modern diagnostic technology close to home.
