The TC Transcontinental Owen Sound Girls U11 Field Lacrosse North Stars travelled to Peterborough this past Sunday for some rainy-day games.
In their first match-up, the North Stars came up short in a hard-fought 16–12 loss to the Newmarket Redbirds 1.The U11’s responded with a strong performance in their second game, defeating the Oshawa Lady Blue Knights 3 by a score of 24–5.
Goal scorers across both games were Emily Gladwell (5), Tae Wilson (5), Grace Gunn (5), Lily Barnard (4), Piper Coburn (4), Ennah Taverner (3), Jaida Kazarian (3), Hadlee Bechamp (2), Logan Quaid (2), Rylah Neilly (2), and Marley Davenport (1).
Goaltender Aniya Sutch made several key saves throughout the day, helping anchor the North Stars defensively.
The TC Transcontinental Owen Sound Girls U11 Field Lacrosse North Stars are back in action July 5th when they head to Orillia.
