The Owen Sound North Stars Legacy Ridge Golf Club Junior Elite Women’s League lacrosse team delivered a dramatic 13–12 double-overtime victory Friday night in Acton, edging the Orillia Lady Kings in the opening game of the JEWL in-season tournament.
Camryn Stauffer had five goals in the win while London Doyle had four.
With the win, Owen Sound improves to 5–1 on the season, holding top spot in the JEWL standings. The North Stars advance to Saturday’s semifinal, where they will face the Oakville Lady Hawks.
