A single vehicle collision southwest of Hepworth has resulted in an impaired driving charge.
Grey Bruce OPP say they responded to the incident on Silver Lake Road near Allenford Road in South Bruce Peninsula around 8 p.m. Wednesday evening.
Police say they arrived to find a vehicle had struck a tree, and then ended up in a ditch.
“The driver reported swerving to avoid a deer, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway. The driver sustained minor injuries,” Grey Bruce OPP say in a release. “While speaking with the driver, officers detected an odour of alcohol, prompting an impaired driving investigation. The driver was subsequently arrested.”
The driver, a 30-year-old Meaford woman, was charged with impaired operation.
