A joint Barrie, South Simcoe Police investigation has resulted in the largest stolen vehicle recovery in the history of the local Services, marking a significant breakthrough in the fight against organized auto theft.
A three month investigation called Project Starter included the Canada Border Services Agency and netted 40 stolen vehicles identified and recovered from Montreal, the GTA and Bahamas, Spain, and Ghana.
