If you are interested in running in the 2026 Municipal Election, the County of Huron is making it easier.
County officials will be hosting a free information session in June to help residents better understand the local election process.
The session will provide prospective candidates with an overview of the municipal election process, voting methods, the voters’ list, and the role of Huron County Council.
Presentations will feature representatives from the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, local municipal clerks, and County staff.
The session runs Wednesday, June 24th at 6:30 p.m. at the Libro Community Hall in Clinton.
The deadline for nominations is August 21st, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.
