Orillia OPP have charged a local woman with mischief after a monument was vandalized with spray paint in Couchiching Park last evening.
She was accompanied by about two dozen people who came to protest the unexpected return of the controversial bronze statue of Samuel de Champlain.
The 33 year old was released from custody and will appear in an Orillia court on August 11th.
