The City of Owen Sound is looking for the public’s input as it looks to give a refresh to Kelso Beach at Nawash Park.
The city will be looking to replace the existing playground, and renew key splash pad features in order to support accessible, inclusive play for all ages.
The improvements will enhance opportunities for movement, discovery, and connection.
There will be an in-person open house at City Hall on Wednesday, May 20th from 4-5:30 pm to give input or ask questions.
That feedback will help ensure that the final design will reflect how community members uses and values the waterfront park.
The City of Owen Sound is partnering with the Scenic City Order of Good Cheer for the renovation project.
The total investment for the refresh is $500,000, and is split between the two organizations.
There is also an online engagement survey available until May 27th. You can find it here.
