Orillia OPP have charged one person with multiple traffic-related charges after a call from a member of the public.
Just after midnight Saturday, members of the Aurora OPP along with Orillia OPP received a call of someone driving erratically on Highway 400 Northbound through the City of Barrie.
Police found the vehicle on Highway 11B in Oro-Medonte and attempted to pull the vehicle over, but the driver continued on.
Officers deployed a tire deflation device, causing the vehicle to come to a stop a short distance later.
The 53-year-old driver from Temagami was charged with operation while impaired, two counts of flight from an officer, dangerous operation, and three counts of assaulting an officer. He appeared for a bail hearing on Saturday.
