Bruce County Public Library is inviting residents to help shape the future of library services across the County through the development of a new Strategic Plan and Library Master Plan.
The Strategic Plan will set the direction over the next four years, helping define priorities, services and goals for the Library Board and staff.
It will also look ahead over the next 20 years to assess library space across the County, identify how branches will best serve communities, and explore the type of library services residents need in the future.
The project timeline includes research and consultation throughout spring 2026, development of the plan during summer 2026, and final presentation in fall 2026.
Community members can also attend one of several in-branch open houses to share feedback directly with the project team on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 in Port Elgin and Wiarton, then Wednesday, May 20 in Walkerton and Kincardine.
