If you are a landowner in Huron County, some funding is available for any water quality projects you are undertaking.
The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority says grants are available through the Huron Clean Water Project, for plans involving:
- Wetland Restoration
- Tree Planting
- Invasive Species Management
- Forest Management Plans
Between 2004 and 2026, grants from the Huron Clean Water Project supported more than four thousand water quality projects by county landowners and residents and community groups.
County council made the decision to end clean water project funding at the end of 2026, which the ABCA says makes it more important for landowners to apply for.
