South Bruce OPP and Ripley firefighters responded to a fire call at the Ripley-Huron Community School Wednesday.
OPP say just before 1 p.m., they responded to a report of a burning smell at the school.
OPP, the Ripley-Huron Fire Department and Lucknow Fire Department all responded.
School staff and students had already safely evacuated the building.
OPP say there were no injuries.
During the evacuation, officers worked with school staff and firefighters to transport food and drinks to the students. They were all able to enter the school before dismissal time.
Police did not say what caused the burning smell.
