Parkinson’s South Georgian Bay is preparing to host a major one-day festival focused on Parkinson’s disease awareness, education and empowerment.
The PSGB Festival will take place Sunday, June 7th, 2026, featuring speakers and experts from Canada, England and the United States.
Organizers say the event is built around three key themes: Exercise, Educate and Empower. The day is designed to provide the public with practical tools, new research insights and meaningful discussion around Parkinson’s disease, including environmental and lifestyle factors linked to the condition.
The festival will feature keynote presentations, DocTalk sessions and Parkinson’s Plan Forum events.
Among the guest speakers scheduled to attend are Dr. Ray Dorsey, director of the Center for the Brain & Environment, Dr. Christopher Pearson, senior scientist in genetics and genome biology, and Dr. Erika Howe.
Also taking part are global advocate Bryce Perry, entrepreneur Carl Beech, registered dietitian Liz Pearson and psychotherapist Jennifer Kerr.
Organizers say the event aims to inspire action, connect the community and advance understanding of Parkinson’s care and prevention.
