OPP have laid six charges against a Durham man in relation to an arson and weapon investigation outside Mount Forest.
Police say at about 6 Tuesday morning (April 28), members of the Wellington County OPP, responded to a disturbance at a residence outside of Mount Forest, where a victim sustained minor injuries.
As a result of their investigation, OPP have charged a 40-year-old Durham man with arson (damage to property), possession of weapon for dangerous purpose, assault with a weapon, operation while impaired (blood alcohol concentration 80 plus), uttering threats to damage property and mischief (destroy or damage property).
The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on June 12, 2026.
His licence is suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven.
