The Township of Huron-Kinloss is reminding residents about open-air burning.
Huron-Kinloss updated its open-air burning bylaw in December of 2025.
There have been no new changes to the bylaw but the Township is reminding residents about the requirements before burning.
They note, an approved open‑air fire permit is required.
They say you no longer need to call fire dispatch once your permit is approved.
A “controlled burn in progress” sign must be posted and visible from the road.
