A long-standing parenting program aimed at supporting fathers in Grey and Bruce counties is set to return this spring, with limited spots still open.
“My Dad’s Group,” a free 12-week program focused on positive parenting, begins its Spring 2026 session on May 5th in Hanover, with a second group launching May 6th in Owen Sound.
The program offers weekly sessions from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., giving participants the opportunity to connect with other fathers, learn about child development, and build skills to strengthen family relationships.
Organizers say the group provides a supportive environment where dads can share experiences, gain practical parenting tools, and grow more confident in their roles.
Originally developed in Grey-Bruce in the 1990s, the program continues to be delivered in partnership with Bruce Grey Child and Family Services.
The program is free to attend, with dinner provided each session. Gas cards are also available to help reduce transportation barriers for participants.
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, and those interested are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible.
