The Special Investigations Unit has invoked its mandate following an arrest in Northern Bruce Peninsula.
According to the Ontario Provincial Police, officers with the Grey Bruce Detachment executed a warrant at a residence on Spry Shore Road on Tuesday, April 14, at approximately 1:10 p.m.
One individual was taken into custody during the operation.
Police say the individual sustained non-life-threatening injuries after being bitten by a police service dog and was transported to hospital by ambulance.
As a result of the SIU’s involvement, the OPP will not be providing further information.
The SIU is responsible for investigating incidents involving police where there has been serious injury, death, or allegations of sexual assault.
