The Ministry of Natural Resources’ (MNR) Flood Warning continues for the District of Muskoka until April 22, 2026.
Water levels in the community continue to increase significantly as snowmelt and recent precipitation flow through the water system.
The Town is strongly advising property owners and businesses to take the necessary precautions to protect and secure their property in preparation for the potential for more severe flooding.
Update as of April 15 at 9:45 a.m.
High water levels and localized flooding in flood prone and low-lying areas is occurring. Water levels will continue to rise as the Algonquin watershed runoff flows towards Huntsville.

The Town of Huntsville and MNR Officials will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as required. Residents are encouraged to monitor local media outlets, the MNR and the Town of Huntsville website for updates.
The Town continues to remind residents to stay clear of spring ice (no ice is safe ice) and waterways. Parents and guardians are also advised to remind children to stay clear of open waters, creeks, and rivers.
