The municipality of Huron-Kinloss is sending a reminder to residents to abide by town by-laws regarding dogs.
As the winter weather departs and the weather gets nicer, Huron-Kinloss is reminding dog owners to pick up after their dogs and keep their dogs leashed as well.
The municipality says cleaning up after your dog is not only respectful but it is required under the town by-laws.
Failure to do so may result in a $100 fine under By‑Law 2017‑116.
The municipality wants to also remind you that you must keep your dog on a leash at all times.
Dogs off leash are considered “running at large” by the municipality and that can result in a $250 fine.
