A high school student is in stable but critical condition, after reportedly being set on fire at F.E. Madill Secondary School, in Wingham.
First responders were called to the school Tuesday morning, after reports an individual was on fire.
A memo circulated to parents by the Avon Maitland District School Board says some students witnessed the incident.
The board has arranged for its Tragic Events Response Support Team to be available to students who need it.
F.E. Madill will be closed for the remainder of the week, while students conduct online learning.
