An OPP seatbelt compliance blitz this past long Easter weekend wound up with a total of 127 offence tickets being issued.
Collingwood and Blue Mountains OPP say the majority of tickets were issued for fail to wear a seatbelt. And there were 16 cases of driving while a passenger under 16 wasn’t properly belted.
OPP are reminding motorists seatbelts significantly reduce the risk of serious injury or death in a collision-and wearing one is the law.
