Grey Bruce OPP say a third person has been arrested in connection to a series of break and enters in Meaford, Grey Highlands and Southgate.
Since last August, they have been investigating multiple property crimes across the region.
On March 24th OPP located a significant quantity of suspected stolen property at a business on Bell Circle in Dundalk, as well as at a second location on the 7th Line in Meaford.
Two people were arrested and charged.
Then on March 30th, Grey Bruce OPP arrested a 35-year-old Melancthon man. Charges against him include careless storage of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm obtained by crime, and two counts possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
To date, officers say they have recovered approximately $43,000 in stolen property, including power tools, chainsaws, a welder, and a .22 calibre semi-automatic rifle. Most items have been successfully linked to their rightful owners.
