A vehicle stuck a hydro pole just outside Mount Forest this afternoon, closing a section of road.
Wellington County OPP say the intersection of Southgate Sideroad 49 and Highway 89 was closed just after 4:15 Friday afternoon following a report of a single vehicle collision involving a hydro pole.
OPP say, on arrival, a hydro pole was found to be struck with hydro wires over the road, and the vehicle involved was discovered in a nearby ditch.
The driver was able to escape the vehicle and was treated by paramedic services. OPP say no other occupants were inside of the vehicle.
Hydro Crews were en route to the site, and the intersection of Southgate Sideroad 49 and Highway 89 was expected to remain closed for several hours.
The public is asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
