Barrie Police have arrested and charged two individuals in separate investigations involving the possession and distribution of child sexual abuse and exploitation material.
Yesterday, a 25-year-old male was charged following a two-month investigation which began after alerts were received from the National Centre for Missing and Exploited children. The reports indicated suspected uploads of child sexual abuse and exploitation material online.
Also yesterday, a 53-year-old Barrie man was charged following a separate four-month investigation.
The accused in that matter was charged with possession, accessing, and distribution of child sexual abuse and exploitation material.
