Huronia West OPP is investigating the recent fire at the Villa Nova Motel in Wasaga Beach as suspicious.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the blaze, has surveillance footage or with dashcam footage, to contact investigators.
On March 9, shortly before midnight, emergency crews were called to the motel and found it fully involved – with the majority of the fire on the second floor. All occupants were able to safely evacuate, and no injuries were reported. The building is currently uninhabitable.
