In light of flooding in some parts of Orillia the city has set up a temporary self-serve sandbag station as a precautionary measure due to water levels rising, warmer temperatures and heavy rain.
It’s located at the Collins Drive Launch Ramp at 425 Collins Drive – it’s sand only and the public must bring their own shovel and bags.
And City crews are continuing to monitor drainage infrastructure and ensure storm drains are clear so melting snow and rainwater can continue to move through the system.
