South Georgian Bay OPP have charged a 79 year man with attempted murder in relation to a suspicious residential fire that occurred this past Sunday.
The fire, on Macedonia Circle in Tiny Township saw one resident sustain minor injuries and smoke inhalation…that person was taken to hospital – a dog in the home perished…and a neighbouring home was damaged by fire.
The accused also faces charges of spousal assault, and arson.
He was held for a bail hearing on March 9, 2026, where he was remanded into custody.
The name of the accused is being withheld out of concern for the victim in this incident.
