Participants of all ages and experience levels are encouraged to register, dress up, and take the icy leap. Spectators are welcome, and facilities-including change rooms, bathrooms, and bleachers-will be available on site.
The Polar Plunge is a signature fundraising event for Special Olympics Ontario, helping provide year-round sports programs, competitions, and opportunities for athletes with intellectual disabilities. Every plunge, pledge, and donation directly supports these programs.
Grey Bruce OPP Constable Kody Lyons says, “The Polar Plunge is an incredible opportunity for our community to come together, have fun, and support Special Olympics athletes across the province,” adding, “We’re proud to partner with the Inter Township Fire Department and the Township of Georgian Bluffs to bring this event back for 2026, and we hope to see a great turnout.”
