Hanover Police say they’re investigating after a man was injured in a stabbing.
The town’s police chief Chris Knoll says a 35-year-old man was left with “non-life threatening injuries” after being stabbed in an altercation Wednesday evening.
It happened around 9:30 p.m., in the area of 12th Street and 10th Avenue in Hanover. Knoll says the victim and a male acquaintance got into a vehicle driven by the suspect. A dispute occurred that led to the stabbing. Police say both men escaped the vehicle and went for help at a nearby house.
The suspect fled in a black ford explorer with a white roof.
Knoll says their police investigation determined the man was stabbed several times in his face and upper body.
He says the male suspect fled the area in a Ford Explorer, southbound on 10th Avenue.
“The other two males ran to a nearby residence for help.”
Police say in an update Friday afternoon, they located the suspect’s vehicle in Durham.
Hanover’s Police Chief says this stabbing was not random, and there is no threat to the general public.
Anyone with information about the incident is being asked to contact Hanover Police or Crime Stoppers.
