Three people are facing charges after a drug investigation in Huron East that led to the seizure of multiple illegal substances.
The Huron-Perth OPP Community Street Crimes Unit says the investigation focused on a residence on Main Street South in Seaforth, with assistance from several regional police units.
Police say the case advanced on February 10th when officers conducted a traffic stop in Huron East. The driver was arrested for impaired driving and drug-related offences, while a passenger was also taken into custody. That stop led to a search warrant at a Seaforth address.
Officers seized suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, hydromorphone, psilocybin, and Adderall, with an estimated street value of about $2,720. Police also seized scales, packaging materials, and a cellphone.
As a result, a 31-year-old from Huron East is charged with possession of cocaine, while a 34-year-old from Huron East faces multiple trafficking-related charges and remains in custody.
A 22-year-old from West Perth is charged with impaired driving and drug possession.
All accused are scheduled to appear in court in Goderich. Police say the investigation continues.
