Cohen Bidgood scored a pair and finished with four points as the London Knights cruised past the Owen Sound Attack 6-2 in Ontario Hockey League action Monday afternoon at Canada Life Place.
Jesse Nurmi, William Nichol, Jaxon Cover and Braidy Wassilyn also scored for London (32-18-4-1), which officially clinched an OHL playoff spot with the win.
Tristan Delisle and Cole Zurawski scored for the Attack (20-29-2-4), which dropped its seventh straight game. Owen Sound is now on its third seven-game losing streak since the start of December.
London never trailed in this one. They jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first. It was 4-1 after two. And the Knights opened things up early in the third, before Zurawski scored one late for Owen Sound.
Sebastien Gatto made 28 saves in the win, while Matthew Koprowski stopped 31 taking the loss. The Knights outshot the Attack 37-30 while going 1 for 4 on the power play; Owen Sound was 2 for 4.
The Attack play their next game Thursday on the road against Barrie.
