Huron Council Council received an update around the Clean Water Project.
During Wednesday’s council meeting, council hear a presentation from Nathan Schoelier, a Stewardship and Lands Manager with Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority.
Over 2025, the Clean Water Project received 295 project applications, with 279 approved for funding.
The total value of the projects approved last year was $1.2 million, based on more than $376,000 in funding.
The project includes a cover crop incentive, tree planting and naturalization, and invasive species management.
The Clean Water Project launched in 2004, and is funded by the County of Huron, local agencies, conservation authorities, and local landowners.
