Orillia will have a new two-storey elementary school slated to open in September of 2027.
The province increased an initial commitment of 9 million dollars a few years ago to 25 million dollars…enabling the Simcoe Muskoka District School Board to apply for building permits with a goal of shovels in the ground this spring.
Simcoe North MPP Jill Dunlop confirmed in a news release that tenders will be issued.
The school will have approximately 330 student spaces.
