The Municipality of Arran-Elderslie is now accepting applications for summer student positions.
There are 35 positions available, aimed at providing hands-on experience close to home.
There are positions available with the parks and public works department, heritage and tourism, day camps, aquatics, clerk and building, tourism, communications, and information systems.
The municipality says that summer students are essential to the success of seasonal services.
In a media release from the municipality, Mayor Steve Hammell said, “Our summer students are incredibly important to our community… They help us deliver some of our most well-loved programs, from day camp and the pools to the museum, with opportunities right across Chesley, Paisley, and Tara. At the same time, we’re supporting local students with meaningful summer jobs, which is a win for everyone.”
Students who are interested can apply through Arran-Elderslie’s website.
