Huron County will be taking further steps to curb speeding on County Road 25.
Council approved changes to signage, particularly the installation of a speed display device where CR 25 approaches Highway 21 in the municipality of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh.
Previously, the county had installed an extra oversized stop sign in the area, as well as an extra oversize stop ahead sign.
A speed reduction was completed in October 2025, where the speed for 1.1km of CR 25 was reduced to 70km/h.
During a speed measurement study, it was found that the average motorist travels at 77 km/h through that stretch.
The county has 24 radar boards in operation, with 12 placed at fixed locations, and 12 moving rotationally around the county.
