Police have laid charges following a residential fire in Penetanguishene.
The fire happened at a multi-unit residential dwelling on Poyntz Street in Penetang.
On Friday afternoon, an officer from the Southern Georgian Bay OPP was on patrol in Midland when the suspect was found outside a shopping centre on County Road 93, and arrested without incident.
The 43-year-old man was charged with two arson-related offenses – a disregard for human life, and damage to property.
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing yesterday.
