Grey Bruce OPP have released a statement saying driving is hazardous today and they’re advising you to limit non essential travel.
They say our region is experiencing extreme winter weather, including high winds, blowing snow, and sudden whiteout conditions.
Police say while many roads may not be officially closed, conditions remain unpredictable and unsafe.
As of 6p.m. Friday, Bruce County’s snow plows were taken off the roads due to unsafe conditions.
They add, limiting non-essential travel supports plow operators and emergency responders as they work to maintain road access and navigate dangerous visibility conditions.
OPP say three officers were sent to the hospital with minor injuries after two cruisers were struck on closed roads.
