
Saugeen Hospice
The Saugeen Hospice board of directors has voted to move forward with the construction of a new hospice.
The vote marks a major milestone for compassionate end-of-life care in the community.
The board says in a media release that with $8 million already secured in donations and pledges, and they’re confident they’ll meet the $10 million goal to build the new hospice residence.
The board is already calling on contractors to pre-qualify, and a groundbreaking is expected for this summer.
The projections show that the facility will be open to families for the summer of 2028.
The board says that the decision reflects months of careful review, and the encouragement shown by donors, volunteers, and community partners.
