Meaford is appointing a new Director of Community Services.
Bradey Carbert will assume the role on Feb. 23 and comes from the City of Owen Sound, where he served as the Manager of Corporate Services for the past three years.
Carbert previously worked at the the Municipality of Meaford for 12 years in various roles, including as the Manager of Assets and Technology Services.
CAO Shawn Everitt says the municipality is pleased to welcome Carbert to the senior leadership team.
“His previous experience with the municipality, combined with his recent leadership role in Owen Sound, will support council’s priorities and strengthen our ability to deliver high-quality programs and services to the community,” says Everitt.
As the Director of Community Services, Carbert will be playing a key role in supporting the delivery of municipal programs and services, including recreation programming, community facilities, parks and open spaces, and services contributing to an active community.
“My family and I use many of the facilities and programs that my team will deliver services through, and I look forward to working with council, staff, residents, user groups, and others to continue this work,” says Carbert.
