A 35-year-old man from West Grey is facing charges after a traffic stop in Walkerton.
South Bruce OPP were on general patrol on Thursday, when they conducted a vehicle stop along May Street.
Police stopped the vehicle after an alert from a licence plate recognition system, when they found that the plate was on the wrong vehicle.
Upon further investigation, they found that the driver was also in violation of a release order.
He’s facing a number of charges, including operation while prohibited, possession of a schedule II substance, Possession of unmarked cigarettes, and being in control of a vehicle with cannabis readily available.
The driver was held for a bail hearing on Friday, then released from custody. He’s expected back in a Walkerton courtroom at a later date.
