East of Clinton Settlement Area Expansion, from Huron County Council Agenda Janaury 7, 2026
Huron County council has approved a five-year review of Central Huron’s Official Plan.
The OP sets a long-term vision for the community, and reflects the goals and needs of the community as it adapts to changing issues.
The report, which was submitted to council by Senior Planner Craig Metzger, outlines a few mapping changes to reflect proposed settlement area boundary changes, and updates to the natural environment mapping.
Central Huron had undertaken public consultation and had sent out personalized registered letters, as well as postcards to almost 4,100 homes.
Provincial approval of complete application policy changes are required by Bill 17.
At this point, proposed changes have been submitted for approval by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing.
