Huron County’s first impaired driving charge of 2026 happened on New Year’s Day.
OPP say they conducted a traffic stop on Huron Road in Central Huron around 3:00 a.m. on January 1st, and the driver was taken to a detachment for an alcohol breath test.
According to reports, the suspect provided breath samples over the legal limit at the Clinton OPP detachment.
A 62 year old from Central Huron has been charged with:
- Impaired Operation – Over 80
The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused’ driver’s license was suspended for ninety days.
