A new exhibit at the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre will put a spotlight on textile and fibre art starting next week.
Renewal will feature 33 fine textile and fibre artworks, assembled by the Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA).
The exhibit is meant to explore the hopes and challenges that people experience through tactile projects, innovative techniques, and materials.
Visitors will be immersed in vibrant colours, textures, and styles, according to the museum.
Renewal launches on January 10th with a public reception from 2 to 4 pm.
The reception welcomes everybody, and will feature a cash bar and light refreshments, while providing guests with the chance to view the collection and connect with SAQA artists.
The museum will also be presenting other winter programming related to the exhibit, including an artist talk led by the co-chair for the SAQA Canadian Regional Exhibition Committee on Thursday, January 22nd.
Anyone looking to take part is advised to RSVP at brucemuseum.ca or by calling 519-797-2080.
Between January and March, there will also be three guided tours of the exhibition.
