Provincial Police are appealing for tips to help identify the driver of a vehicle allegedly involved in a collision with a Grey County ambulance on Christmas Day.
Grey Bruce OPP say an ambulance — with its emergency lights on — was stopped on Highway 10 just north of Dundalk, when it was struck on the driver’s side by a van travelling northbound. Police say the fail to remain collision happened around 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 25.
“Thankfully, no one was injured. Damage to the ambulance was minimal,” Grey Bruce OPP Const. Kody Lyons says in a release.
The OPP describe the vehicle that struck the ambulance as a “dark, dirty van.” They’re asking anyone with information about the incident, or dash cam footage to contact Grey Bruce OPP or Crime Stoppers.
“Police believe several vehicles were in the area at the time and that multiple witnesses may have observed the collision,” OPP say in a release.
