A foot pursuit by Saugeen Shores police officers led to the arrest of a wanted man.
Saugeen Shores Police say officers attended an apartment building in Port Elgin yesterday (Dec. 23) in the area of Waterloo and Market Streets, in search of a 33-year-old man wanted on several warrants.
Police say they found the suspect in a unit, but he tried to escape through a bedroom window.
Saugeen Shores Police officers chased him down on foot, and managed to arrest the man without further incident.
Town Police say the 33-year-old man is charged with several offences, including theft under $5,000, credit card theft, mischief under $5,000, break and enter and obstruct peace officer.
Police say the accused was wanted in relation to seven separate investigations, involving six different victims.
He was held in custody for a bail hearing today (Dec. 24).
